February 6, 2008 –The ConAgra Foods facility in Troy, Ohio manufactures pepperoni and sausage that is intended for further processing in production of pizza and other hand-held products. In our operation, we use several varieties and types of meat to produce the finished pepperoni and sausage.

In light of recent concerns surrounding Westland Meat Co., we felt it was appropriate to issue a statement declaring that we do not use government commodity beef in our process. Furthermore, we have had no dealings with Westland and we do not utilize any of their products in our Troy, Ohio facility.

In addition, we do produce two finished items containing beef toppings that are fully prepped by an outside vendor - items 77387-12657 Totally Taco MaxSnax and 77387-12623 Real Slice Southwest Pizza. We have received written confirmation from this supplier certifying that they have no involvement with Westland Meat Co. either.
